Can you pay dues with Disney gift cards?

To make it easier, you can add gift cards together up to $1,000. Then use that one card to pay dues instead of a bunch of smaller cards.

Yes! More $$ for your trips. I look for any way to get cash back and then buy gift cards to pay MF's. It is amazing how much you can save. I have more than half my 2021 MF's tucked away in GC's already.

You can set up a debit from your checking account now. Whatever you pay ahead before they calculate the monthly payment, obviously won't count. For example: If you owe $2400 a year and pay $1200 this December with GC's, your monthly scheduled debit will be $100. You can use GC's to pay that monthly (manually) before the due date so you can continue to benefit through the year when you have extra $$ or a big cash back deal and nothing will be debited. I like to set it up as a fall back.

I have a special checking account for all things Disney where any extra $$, rebates, etc goes. It is gratifying to see how much you can tuck away over a year!

If you prefer to pay with GCs throughout the year, set your account up on monthly auto-pay. Then as you come across good deals on GCs, you can pay before the monthly due date. It will then move your next payment back.

I buy GCs at Kroger when I have a 4x fuel points coupon. That's a savings of 14%. I then use my Chase freedom card to get between 2-5% cashback on grocery purchases. The 5% usually occurs April-June, so I try to buy enough then to pay the rest of the year. So my total savings is 16-19% on my dues each year.

Does anyone know if there are any supermarkets or programs in Florida that offer Disney gift card discounts? (other than target CC offer)

BJ Warehouse normally has a good sale on Disney gift cards around black friday.... I've loaded up the last couple of years. I think these are in the neighborhood of 5 to 8% off. FYI, you can get an online only BJs account pretty cheap.

Shoprite and Acme often run deals that wind up being as much as 20% off. Buy $50 worth of GC and get $10 to use on a future purchase. No brainer. You’re gonna use it next week for groceries again anyway. Not sure if these stores are in FL though.

I use my credit card cash back at the emd of each year for my dues. I buy Disney gift cards from Sam's club (smallest denomination cards actually have the largest % savings) using the credit card points to stretch it even further and then combine all those gift cards into 1 on the Disney card site. Sam's club gift cards saves me about 4.5%

We have taken advantage of the Shoprite deals for a number of years now. Historically the deals start around Black Friday at 20% and then tend to fluctuate between deals of 10% to 20% over the following weeks. Also they limit you to one deal per "Price Plus" courtesy card per week. They did recently run a 15% deal for Prime Days (Oct. 13&14) ... Buy $100 in Gift Cards get $15 off following week's purchase. Unfortunately Shoprite is only located in 6 states (Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania).

If we can, we’d like to buy gift cards from Target and save 5%.

BJ's already announced their Black Friday gift card sales. Disney gift cards are on sale from 11/20 to 11/30 and are 6% off face value. Stack this with your favorite credit card, and you could get more back. For me, I have a 1.5% cash back card so this makes it 7.5% off. Target's 5% should be considered the baseline since there are no additional rewards and there will be better deals out there for Black Friday.

Does BJ’s offer the e-Gift card like target does? Or does BJ’s mail out the actual gift card? I think that would make me nervous. 🤔

I really like the ease of ordering the e-cards from target and then immediately transferring them onto the physical cards I have via disneygiftcard.com. I currently have all 2021 dues covered (plus some I hope if they give VGC owners a decent credit). Normally some of my stash would go towards our DLR AP renewal. 😭 Oh well, actually looking forward to paying dues this year to unload my cards. 😂

They mail physical gift cards, but they usually come quickly - within 3-4 days.

With gift cards purchased at Target my question is Do you get the 5% off the total price of the gift card or do you get a 5% rebate on your red card? (Example 100.00 card - 5% you would pay 95.00 or do you pay 100.00 and get the 5% as a credit on your bill?)( if you buy at BJ you get the % off the price of the gift card and you could still earn rewards on your CC)(Not sure about Sams Club) TIA

You would pay $95 for a $100 gift card.
