I don't want automatic shipments and I don't see a way to "opt out" on the order screen. Thanks.

I don't think you can if you order through their site. In order NOT to get int the club, you will need to order from another retailer. Check www.ulta.com or www.sephora.com.

Every once in a while QVC will run specials where you can get a lot of products in special kits for a good value. I order 99% my BE from www.colorfulsprinkles.com. The owner, Corina, gives *the best* customer service I've ever received, and you may order samples for very reasonable prices if you just want to try a product without paying for the full-sized. You can enter the code "SHIPBE" (no quotation marks) for free shipping. I can't recommend Corina enough--she is terrific! :)

I got mine the first time through QVC as a "Try Me" special. Since then, I've bought refills at Sephora.

O.K., now I know we have a lot of BE fans here, and I love it too, but I just bought something that seems to be just as good for about 1/3 the price.

It's Physician's Formula Mineral Wear Loose Powder. CVS sent me a coupon for 20% off any cosmetic, so I used it to try this. And it's great. A bit messier because of the packaging, and I'm not crazy about the brush that comes with it. However, I'm using my BE brush with it, and the coverage is just as good.

Applying mineral make-up correctly is the key, I think, to how well it works. You have to start with a small amount of powder, worked well into the brush, and apply it to the cheeks first, fanning out to the nose, chin and forehead. You need to layer it a small amount at time and buff it enough too.

The instructions that come with BE are very helpful, so maybe it's better to start with BE? (I noticed that Neutrogena is also selling a mineral make-up now too.) I've been using it for a couple of years now, so I'm used to applying it.

One last comment--I have also tried Sheer Cover (the one Leeza Gibbons touts on an infomercial). I was as happy with it as I was with BE, and now with Physician's Formula. I suppose there are formulation differences between the brands, but all of them have performed fine for me.

Good luck!

I also bought the Physician's Formula. I don't think the coverage is as good for me as the BE (or Sheer Cover for that matter) but it is still better than liquid foundation. I have a lot of red in my skin due to rosacea so the Physician's Formula may do very well with someone with good skin. Also, I noticed that the Physician's Formula just has the foundation and does not have a second "mineral veil" product as BE and Sheer Cover do. At least my store did not offer one. I have been using the Physician's Formula but I also use my BE Warmth and BE Mineral Veil with it. It would not do well for me all on it's own.

I can't wait to try this!

Is it true that it is "all natural" -- no chemicals or preservatives? :confused3

I just got my Bare Minerals Monday and I am really liking it. It's kind of weird though.... I like the "look" I get, but it's hard to be "done" applying because I'm used to the "mask" look of regular make up. I have to pull myself away from the mirror.

I did the EXACT same thing when I started using BM!!! :)

I order all of my BM products on QVC.com.

BTW- you can cancel the club membership at any time.

That's exactly what I did. Once my Starter kit arrived, I called BE and cancelled the club membership.

I have to admit that I finally got the courage to try mineral make up after the recent thread here on the Dis and I am really digging it. I am very happy with the coverage and the ability to control the coverage.

Can anyone suggest a better full coverage brush?

BE will be on QVC May 5th for their anniversary show. You might find some good deals that day. I usually order mine from QVC.
