Can you not tranfer banked points?

Ok, so lets say I want to transfer 9 pts. from my VB contract into my BWV contract. The UY are different (June and March respectively). So if I transfer 9 pts. from June '08 UY into my March '08, but it is past the 8 months banking deadline for March, but not for June, I can still bank those transferred pts. that went into the March UY?
Technically you could bank those transferred points up until the end of May. Remember that transferred points are supposed to retain their UY and home resort but don't always. You'd be best to bank those before the March UY started.

But which contract still needs to be in the 8 month banking window...the acct. that transfers from or the acct. that recieves the points? According to Dean, the banking window doesn't apply to transferred points, but I think it is the recieving acct. he is talking about. Help us out here Dean!! :confused3
Technically it would be the originating contract that determined the cutoff's but once transferred, the 8 month window would not have any application to the transferred points. Again, there is a reality and a technical side to this question and they don't always connect.

Dean, thank you for stating this....that is why I say it's confusing.....because they DON"T always connect.

THANKS DEAN!!! As always, one who has a valuable amount of knowledge. Thanks for keeping us all on track! :thumbsup2
