Can you mobile order before entering the parks?

We are heading to Disneyland TOMORROW and so excited!!! 😊 I've been looking at the app and noticing that the seasonal treats we're excited to try from Jolly Holiday sell out SUPER fast, like before 8 AM fast! Since we're driving down and won't make it to the parks till 10 or 11-ish, am I able to place a mobile order from home before we leave to make sure we get those items, and then modify the time to later in the day? Or do we have to be physically in the park in order to mobile order?

Also, does anyone happen to know if any of the holiday treats are egg-free and nut-free? A lot of the quick-service places don't show allergy menus on the app, or don't have the seasonal items listed in their allergy menus. I just want to make sure I have plenty of options for my 6-year-old son with food allergies, so he can enjoy treats with us!

Thanks in advance!!

Yes, you can mobile order before entering the park. I believe the app begins accepting mobile orders at 7AM. You can choose from a range of times when you initially make the order. Modifying your pickup time is possible, but only for whatever times remain available at the time you choose to modify. As an example: you have a 10 AM pickup and decide at 9:45 you would rather pick your item up at 11:00 but when you go into the app no times are available before 1 PM. So then you have to decide if you want to keep your 10 AM, change to a 1 PM or later time, or cancel your order. I would recommend when making your order choosing a time when you are confident that you will be in the park so you are not trying to deal with modifications and guesswork on the road. If you arrive earlier than expected, you can always hope to get lucky and find availibility, but if nothing turns up at least you have your original order time.

I thought you had to be in or near the general vicinity of DLR to place a mobile order?

Which treats sell out before 8 am? I thought only the candy canes were an issue. If you are looking for gingerbread cookies, they are sold at several places in both parks.

I know the chocolate treat packaged to look like a snowglobe sells out very quickly. I didn't really notice anything sell out before 8 AM when I was there, but 10 AM was a definite possibility.

I'm not sure about allergies, but you can definitely order ahead of time. I'd just choose a time when you're sure you'll be in the parks, so you aren't on a deadline to get inside. Maybe 1:00. That way with any unforeseen traffic, parking issues etc you won't miss your pick up time. Have a wonderful trip!

Just to add, many of the popular seasonal items aren't available on mobile after early morning, but that doesn't mean they're sold out completely. They only place a certain number of those on mobile first thing in the morning, but sell them in-person throughout the day. So you just need to be willing to wait in line.

Having said that, an item CAN eventually sell out completely much later in the day. And that's one thing to keep in mind if you modify your pickup time. They can cancel a mobile order if they run out, so you don't necessarily want to risk pushing back a time super late.

You need to be near the restaurant for pick up/clicking the "I'm here" button. But you can 100% order from outside the park. I just tested it and I'm in Canada.
I'm not sure, but I don't think you even need to be in the vicinity. That's just the instructions they give as it makes sense to wait until you're nearby. But I've seen people "gift" people treats even after they've left the park!

I've purchased the snow globe several times now (not always for me, I swear lol!) later in the day during weekend visits. Just had to wait in line to buy in person those times I'd forgotten to mobile order before they were off the app. So they definitely don't typically sell out in the morning!

Ohh good to know, thank you!

That part I cannot test right now haha. But I do vaguely remember not being able to click the button for Mint Julep when I was by Space Mountain. Had to get closer to do it. That might have changed or I might be miss remembering tho.

I mobile ordered the famous Mickey gingerbread cookies at 7am last week from jolly holiday!

I was going to say I’d test it on Sunday, but just realized I’ve done this many times, as recently as this past weekend. I clicked “I’m here, prepare my order,” for Cafe Daisy in Toontown where my sister was after riding MMRR, while I was waiting for the parade at Main Street. Can’t believe I blanked on that considering how often we’ve done it lol.

I once ordered an orange bird sipper when I was in Toronto for a friends daughter who was at Disney world. It’s actually one of my favourite surprises to do for people.

On the allergy note, many of the baked goods say may contain tree nuts, including the gingerbread. For my nut allergy kids they love the hot chocolate at the grand Californian which is nut free.

We were at the park today. We checked the app at 8:30 am and there were no gingerbread cookies available at Jolly Holiday. Around 1:30 pm we checked Jolly Holiday in person and they had the gingerbread cookies, the snow globes and the macaroons available for purchase. The app didn't show that any of them were available.

That's correct. They only put a limited number of the most popular seasonal items on the app in the morning. They're usually gone from the app quite early. But they're available for in-person purchase throughout the day, though some can still sell out if it's busy.
