This photo was submitted for my book, A Scrapbooker's Guide to Walt Disney World. The sender swears it was taken at Disney World. Maybe at Italy? There appears to be a stack of buckets in the window behind the statue. But no backstage areas are visible at Disney World!

Was this really taken at Disney World??

Maybe someone going soon could have a look around Italy for me?

Please and thank you! :goodvibes

I'm thinking it may be somewhere in the France area, maybe near the fragrance shops? But I'm not at all sure it is a WDW photo.

It looks to me like it is in the courtyard of the MGM Cafeteria(prop wharehouse ) across from Star Tours.

It looks like he is standing near one of the food stands in France, like the crepe stand. Any they have people pretending to be statues in France also

At first glance, I thought it wasn't Disney World at all (too messy with the buckets!) but this is actually a good guess. It looks like it could be The Backlot Express restaurant at MGM.

That's not a person pretending to be a statue. That actually IS a statue! :teeth:

Thank you *very* much for the suggestions! My first thought was "Epcot," and I never moved beyond that. I will be heading to the Backlot Express as soon as I walk through the MGM gates this summer!

I know this is OT but I was just reading about your book it sounds good. How much is it? When will it come out?

I'd like to know as well. It sounds fabulous!

The book won't be out until next year, possibly not until November. There will be a lot of photos, and they'll all be printed in color -- so the book will be expensive. Probably as much as $40. It's really for a narrow market of people -- *very* enthusiastic WDW scrapbookers/photographers!

Debbie, your five angels are beautiful! So far, most of the photo submissions I've received have come from people with boys, so I have a shortage of photos with girls. You could take a look at the "Disney Photo Quest" page on my website and see if you happen to have any of the photos I need. :earsboy:

Leighe -- you're going to be at the Beach Club in just a month! If you happen to order a Kitchen Sink at Beaches 'n Cream, I would love to see a photo. (It's on my photo quest list!)

I have photos of my kids behind the counter at Beach Club actually making their own kitchen sink!

Terry, how in the world did you swing that?? Things like that only happen at Disney. The kids must have had a ball. I would love to see the photos!

We ordered the Kitchen Sink and the waitress came back to our table a few minutes later and asked if our kids would like to make it. It was definatly a surprise to us, I had never heard that reported here or anywhere before. The kids were Son - 6 and Daughter -5 at the time. They took them behind the counter at Beaches and Creme and put plastic gloves on them and gave them scoops and told them to scoop whatever they wanted and put it in the bowl. After they scooped a ton of ice cream and put a bunch of toppings on, they gave both my kids a can of whip creme. It was an experience they kids will never forget. I have been to B&C many times since and I have never seen them ask the guest if they would like to make it. You are right in that was truly a magical Disney experience. I will dig through my disks and send you a picture.

Here are the pictures of my kids making thier own kitchen sink:
