Can you HELP? RE: My brother in IRAQ

So we finally heard from him yesterday after almost 3 weeks. He is down, way way down and I think he needs some cheering up or some words of encouragement. He still has over 2 more months to go over there.

If you want to reply, I am going to print this thread and mail it to Brodey in hopes that it will make him feel a little better. Thanks everyone.

I know that your job is not just about war and that there is so much good that the military does around the world. My BIL is a member of the USAF and I couldn't be prouder if he was my own blood. I will admit that I am not a Bush supporter, but I will always support our military. So to you and all those serving with you, thank you!!!

My husband and I are so proud and thankful for everything that you and your fellow Marines are doing for us in Iraq. Please do not become disheartened when you have such a short time remaining.

It is an admirable task you and your colleagues have undertaken and, although we may not understand in a first-hand basis the danger you are in every day, we do understand the risk that everyone is under. Please stay safe. Your family is no doubt very anxious to see you.

Hey Brodey!
Thanks for the sacrifices you have made to serve our country. We truly appreciate it and are very proud of all our armed forces members! It is not an easy life, but for those who serve, we hold you in the highest regard. Know that you are thought of and prayed for every day.

I will tell you one example of how we civilians look upon the armed forces. On the news yesterday they were interviewing US citizens that the Marines were rescuing form Lebanon and a woman was asked how she felt about it. She said she got goosebumps and tears in her eyes when she saw the Marines arriving to get them. She said she knew she was safe now and was very grateful. If I was in a tight spot, there is no one I would rather see coming than a member of the US armed forces. Thank you for all you do.

Brodey - ever since the first time I met you playing with your leggos and war video games this has been your dream to fight for your country, don't let go of that dream and know that we all appreciate you every day for what your doing. You have become a wonderful man and should be proud of yourself so finish what you went to do and hurry up and get home safe Brodey odie!!! We love you!!!!

First of all, thank you for serving. I don't have first hand experience but my husband served in Vietnam and it was a long year for him.

You are in so many people's thoughts and prayers. I am glad to have another name to pray for!

We have a nephew and some dear friend's son's in the service right now so all of you are daily in our thoughts.

Hi Brody!
Ever since your sister told us about you, you have been in my prayers on a daily basis, in the same breath as my dearest nephew, a proud Marine also serving in Iraq. I cannot see a member of the armed forces without thinking about the sacrifice that all of you make in order to keep us safe and free, but I will admit that with one family member serving since 2001, and his brother at Paris Island, Marines are close to my heart.

I saw footage of your unit on CBS a while back. PLease keep yourself safe and remember that we are grateful to you for your service and your commitment to our country and to those who need your strength to remain free.
