Is it really necessary to arrive 90 minutes before Fantasmic starts (as stated in Birnbaum's DW guide). We will be at WDW Sep 23 to Oct 2. How do you think we would fare if we showed up 30 minutes prior to show time? Sorry if this post doesn't belong here. I tried 4 times to post under Theme Parks and Strategies, but it wouldn't let me.

Smiles,

90 minutes is way too long for an "off season" I have arrived as late as 45 min to an hour and still been able to save the seats for the rest of us in our group. I would have DH hold the seats with jackets or what ever and bring the kids about 30 min before. Unless seating really matters to you and you want to sit in the front row.

I think its more of a question if you want to sit in the center "Mickey" or "Pocahontas" aisles or if you don't mind being towards the side. All great views, but if you want the best views, I'd go at least an hour before the show. I

During peak times, if you're not there 2 hours before the show, you're pretty much guaranteed seats to the side, and if you're there anywhere less than an hour before showtime, you have a very good chance of being turned away.

But off-peak hours, you'll be fine.

If you can, do the Fantasmic Dinner Package. You have a guaranteed seat and are given a ticket. That way you won't have to wait in line.

I am going to Fantasmic on Sept.10.I was hoping to be able to get a seat 30 min. prior to the show. :confused3

Honestly since its an ampitheatre you really don't have a "bad" seat, just more to the center. If you're really concerned, your best bet is to do the Dinner package (I recommend Hollywood & Vine, great food....making me hungry just thinking about it! ;) ). Did the dinner package both times and had a great view getting there at 8:30 for the 9:00 show (and we were only a couple sections from the end!)

off season( Jan) they were still getting seats up to show time, good ones about 20mins out.the whole far rt. section was totally empty during the show. we went about 45 mins preshow and had our pick of seats. i'd say for a small group 20-30 mins out would be fine don't know the name of the section we sat in but it was the second big section in from the left, maybe a third of the way up. we could see fine

I also recommend the dinner package at Hollywood and Vine. We did this in March. The food was great, and we had good seats for the show.

I went in mid July with the parks pretty well packed, on a whim I went about 45 minutes before show time and there were plenty of great seats available. I was surprised at my luck. If it was going to be standing room only I was going to leave and go back for the second show, but as it turned out the first show worked out for me.

30-45 mins should be more than enough. The time of year you are going is not that busy.

We have the dining plan. Can we do the dinner package with the dining plan? Anybody know?
