Can you hear the music on a Wishes cruise?

I couldn't get an Illuminations cruise with such short notice on our trip so I went ahead and booked a Wishes cruise. The music is such a big part of the affect I was wondering if the boat's are able to hear anything other than just the mortor shots.

We were not able to hear the music when we took a WISHES cruise on 12/8/2003. The fireworks were still very impressive and FWIW, some of the fireworks appeared differently out on the water than they did when we watched the show inside the MK. Kind of cool!

Keep trying for that Illum cruise, even after you are there, there are cancellations. Good luck.
