Can you get through to FtW coming from the East (driving west) on Vista Blvd? This would be coming from the golf course (Osprey, Eagles Pine, Bonnet Creek).

Thanks for you help!!! :wizard:

You could last summer. There is a guard booth but nobody was maning it. This way is also a short cut to DTD......TAZ

Actually, this is the way we always come. You don't have to go thru the main MK entrance that way. We have a large motorhome and that ticket booth is a hassle, not to mention the lines at certain times of the day.

The old guard shack is just a wide spot in the road now. Never did figure out what it was for exactly.

You can come from that way but you will have a very sharp right turn into the FW drive. We always come in through the MK gate--next to the last lane to the right.

Thanks!! It is a sharp right turn, but our mini-van will make it! I would not try it with a large motohome.

The sharp right turn is no big deal. My DH makes it all the time and we have a 35' FW and a F350 4-door long bed dually. The entrance is actually quite wide so it's really not a problem. :bored: :bored:

Well that was weird. Just today, I was just looking at a detailed map and realized that I could avoid I-4 and come 535 to Vista, and then POOF! I came upon this topic in the forum. Great info guys! I'm thinking about swinging the sharp turn in a rented Class C.

The turn from that direction is almost a 180* but they have widened the driveway in the last year or two. There used to always be tire tracks off to the right of the driveway from people not swinging out far enough to get in. We come and go that direction most of the time to avoid the MK parking booth and the speed bump there. Those things are hard on a single axle trailer. Especially when you are excited about almost being there and trying to get over to the right to make that first right after the booth. :Pinkbounc

We have a 45' motor home, and we turn in there every time. I have seen buses do the same thing. They have widened the entrance also.

Its a 90 followed by a gentle arc back toward the CG entrance guard gate. Nothing about driving around in FW is easy for long rigs, so you might as well get your first challange right off.

You will do fine.

As mentioned, the turn has been improved for the busses and larger rigs.

As for our entrance into WDW and FW, we are coming from the west so that means we can go through the main entrance or take the alternate. We choose to go the main entrance route because as we get off I-4 we see the HUGE MICKEY power poll that indicates the start of our stay and I will mention that the 2 DGS begin to get really excited. Then it is through the main plaza where we first encounter a CM and then the turn into FW that culminates the trip.

It is sure nice to start the day off that way and we will be doing that later in the week :D
