Mom wants to play Fantasia golf - and I promised after all these trips we'd finally do it...

Anyone know if I can get from the resort to Fantasia golf directly or do I have to get in the car?

thanks -

Yes; either take the boat (towards MGM) and get off at the next stop (Swolphin), or walk along the YC/BC path towards the Swolphin. Once you're at the dock area, keep walking, past the pool and lounges until you reach the street. Cross the street (carefully, of course...:rolleyes1 ) and you can't miss Fantasia! :thumbsup2

There may be signs; I just don't remember. :sad2:

Have fun; both courses are fun.:goodvibes

It's a nice easy walk. We did it with 2 small children years ago without any problems. Have fun!

I guess I can't miss the Swolphin??? (Not my mother's favorite places, I have to admit...)

I know... how can you stay at the BC and not miss the SWolphin???

Thanks - now I can look both ways and cross the street and go play golf!!!

yes its a quick walk but there is 1 busy street to cross

When you get to the Swan, turn right and go past their quiet pool and head towards the playground and beach. Right before the playground, the pathway will turn left and so will you. Cross the street and you're at Fantasia.

About the street. It can be busy but you won't be like Frogger. There is a median so we just cross halfway and then take the other half. Just about all the time, we can just walk all the way across. Disney buses will stop for people waiting to cross (there is a cross walk). Other vehicles may stop but probably won't. As always, though, use caution.

Since you will have a car, I would certainly drive. It is much safer and also much faster. From the BC, I think it is probably a 20 minute walk at a minimum depending upon the location of your room. That road curves, lanes abruptly end and you do see confused drivers on it at times.

i'd walk. dont worry about that one street. its nothing like frogger. You are at more risk getting hit in the parking lot then you go walking across that street.

try to play golf early in the morning, its not usually backed up for the first hour they are open

It does curve and there are lanes that end but not at the short part where you cross the road to get to Fantasia. We've crossed the road many times (why did the Disney guest cross the road? To get to the mini golf!) and never have felt our lives to even be remotely in danger. Usually, there's absolutely no traffic on the road. I think the most we've had to wait to cross is for maybe three cars to go by right after the light from Buena Viats Drive changed for the left turn. Driving would be a waste of gas and the potential of losing a good parking space at the Beach Club.

So what does that road go to? The resorts?

I agree that there isn't tons of traffic but many people speed on that road and I would not want to cross it with older people or young kids. I don't like crossing it myself. But that's great that it doesn't bother you.

To me time is money at WDW and the small amount of gas used to drive there would be more than offset by time saved doing so.

And to not use a car because of a prime parking space defies logic to me.:confused3

Tink rules, it's called Epcot REsort BLVD or something like that. It goes by S/D, Fantasia, Y&BC and BW/V as well as two large cast CM parking lots before hitting Buena Vista Dr again by MGM. It's one big loop.

I agree that I would take the car if you have it and there is plenty of parking at the golf site and you should have no problem parking again when you return to the Beach Club.

Walking would be for me a situation where I had no choice.

So what does that road go to? The resorts?

As stated, the road loops around to all the Epcot resorts. since you are dirivng to the Beach Club, you will be on the road when you go to check in. Once you turn at the Swan, that resort will be on your right and Fantasia miniature golf will be on your left. You will actually be able to see the crosswalk from the Swan over to the course. Make your own judgements if it's OK to walk or if you want to drive. You'll also be able to judge the distance of the walk once you get to the Beach Club and out to Cresent Lake and you will already know the driving distance.

Or if your come in from the other side near the Hess station, the Boardwalk will be on your left and then the Beach Club, so you won't pass the Mini golf if you come in from the entrance closest to MGM.

You would then exit the Beach Club turn left and go past the Yacht Club and the mini golf will be on your right, across from the Swan and Dolphin.
