Can you get the DCL bus from a different resort than where you are staying?

I searched and searched and could not find an answer to this, so hopefully someone here can help me out. We are taking a cruise in November at the end of our resort trip and plan on taking the DCL bus to the port. We are staying at CSR, but are planning on having a an early breakfast at WCC on departure day. Question is- do we need to get back to CSR for the bus to pick us up, or can it pick us up at WL after breakfast?

And I know we get free lunch on the ship- this is our 5th cruise. We always eat a late lunch around 2 (second dinner seating) so need something in the morning to tide us over and have never ventured away from our resort the past 4 cruises. Wanted to try something new this time.

This would start a rash of people trying to be picked up from different locations. DCL transfers are planned for pick-up from the resort you are checking out from.

You would have to call DCL and ask....it may be possible...might depend on how many people are already going from WL on the bus.

I don't believe it is possible, but it doesn't hurt to check with them. DCL has even called my room in the past just to touch base and make sure I had all my documents in order. I was then told to meet in the lobby at a certain time for the bus.

I have thought about getting picked up from a different/certain hotel but I've never truly inquired about it. For example, DCL only asks you which resort you want to be picked up from. Well...what if I booked a cruise but I was staying at Universal for the past few days and I'm just taking an uber to a random resort to catch the DCL transfer bus? It makes sense that they would work with you. You paid for the transportation so you've already been allocated so just tell them where to pick you up.

It makes a little sense..anyway. AND would they really deny someone pickup service if they're not staying on Disney property? As I said...you paid the money for the transportation.I think the OP has pretty good odds at this point, but the luggage pickup could complicate some things. My Universal theory doesn't really work unless you pack really light though.:lmao:

If you're at Universal, why not just go back to MCO?

You totally could and I was just using it as an example. I suppose I just figured that I could get a few WDW things in in the early morning before the bus comes around. Def not the norm though and pretty uncommon unless you have an AP. I would need to leave the luggage with bell services. It's totally enough time to do rope drop at DAK and ride FOP before hopping on the bus to GF where I'll be able to take the monorail to EPCOT. I should have enough time to get on 'Soarin, grab some delicious school bread from the Norway pavilion and ride Spaceship Earth before I head out.

But what would you do with your luggage? I would think it may be an issue to pick up your luggage at one resort and you at another. I'd call DCL and ask.

I dont know about DCL, but one time we asked if we could reserve magical express to go to a different resort for the same reason (wanted to go to a character meal) and were told no.

Generally, luggage is picked up ahead of time from the room. I think the OP plans to go for breakfast after the luggage is picked up. However, since the DCL reservation is tied to your resort reservation, there would likely be an issue even if you contact them. I'm not sure since I've never tried it. I'd be afraid my reservation would get lost between the two resorts and end up being delayed getting to the ship.
