your DH had an operation several years ago?

I know that sounds stupid and all . . .but I'm usually right on time and have been all my life . . .I'm only 5 days late, but I'm going insane.

I think it may be due to stress and stuff lately, I'm totally trying to rule out pregnancy but I don't know. It can't be possible that several years after an operation that I would get pregnant, could I?

I'm assuming by operation you mean he was snipped.

If so, it is possible, not likely but possible. He would have to have a test done to see if there are any swimmers making it through.

Stress is certainly enough to make you late. You can always pick up a cheap hpt and see what happens.

Good luck!

Yes, it's possible.

Did he get two negative tests afterward? (My DH has his 9 years ago and still hasn't gotten the second test:rolleyes: )

You can always try to eat some fresh parsley...i've heard that'll usually do the trick if you're late b/c of stress.

If you really think you're PG though, don't eat the parsley because in large quantities, it can cause uterine contractions.

Good luck.

I've heard many stories about this happening on BabyCenter.com. It's certainly possible! Good luck!! :)

Ok, guys, how many of you clenched your knees together when you read this?

Ladies, please, have a heart. That is a sensitive area for us and you need to treat it gently in all your conversations.

It would be unlikely in the extreme, especially if you verified the operation was successful, as one would assume you would.

Go get a test. In 3 minutes you'll ease your mind and take off the added stress, which surely isn't helping.

I've heard it's possible but unlikely.

Chances are , if you are under stress, even subconciously, that's what it is.

monkeyboy - Hey I gave the women dis'ers only warning . . so you get what you deserve.

auntpolly - that doesn't make me feel any better.:(

two4ruff - he only had it tested once . . .so if I am I'm pinning it all on him!::yes:: ;)

Sorry, in my current state it's been a hot topic around the house.

I'll try to be more gentle about it next time (at least here, DH is still getting it done)

Would you be happy ? if you were ?

My DH had it done 6 yrs ago. He had the tests and it was fine. Let us know the reults

I'm sorry, really. I just thought you should know. We were having dinner with our friends and they told us that Patty was pregnant -- we knew that a Craig had been fixed so I asked Patty, while we were in the kitchen together, if I should call the Jerry Springer show ("I'm having another man's baby" next, on Jerry Springer! ) She said nol, that the operation didn't take!!

5 Days is nothing. You're probably just having one of those months -- let us know; OK?

Would you be happy ? if you were ? \

I always wanted 3 children. DH felt that having a DD then a DS was the perfect family.

I would love having another child . . . but I am so out of practice being that DD will be 15 and DS 11.

It would be extremely hard starting over from scratch. ::yes::

Well, all I know is, when I had the last "snip" incident down there, I had to wear a diaper and couldn't walk for about a year and a half! I am not going through that again!

Would I be very nosy if I ask how old you are. Some people start premenopaus very early and whacky periods are one of the first things that happens. (I know this from personal experience.)

I know, now I made you feel worse -- and old!
