Can you get food additives?

I was reading a boma thread that someone else posted, and posters tended to agree that the food there isn't very exotic and is primarily Americanized. From what I can tell, Boma is the most likely to be exotic of any TS at WDW (except Sanaa, which I have other reasons for not wanting to go to), meaning that most of the food at WDW is going to be pretty simple.

While I don't mind simple when simple is the intent, I prefer to have more flavor whenever possible. Sometimes, that means having my own additives - I have been known to bring my own hot sauce and finishing salt to restaurants in the past.

I probably won't bring the salt with me, for fear of losing it. I doubt I'll be allowed to bring a bottle of hot sauce onto park property, being in a glass bottle. So, what is available to guests who want more flavor?

If you are at a TS, request your food to be prepared with more spice. Or you could even request hot sauce at your table. I have a memory of passing a large platter of various sauces and condiments at (I think) Narcoossee's, so it can't hurt to ask. I wouldn't do this at V & A, though.

I like a lot of spice, and I've never seen or heard of any hot sauce other than Tabasco at WDW restaurants. I hate tabasco. But, I do like Frank's Hot Sauce in general, so I did a search for portable hot sauces and found they sell them in packets. Ended up buying 50 of them and now keep them in my purse, def plan to have them with me at WDW! They'll be great for breakfast, or anytime I need to spice something up. I hate bland food, and this is my go-to remedy no matter where I am...of course, at a signature restaurant I'd HOPE that it wouldn't be necessary to add Frank's hot sauce to make it edible... :confused3

It wouldn't cross my mind to do it at V&A. I probably wouldn't even think about doing it at a Signature (depends on the atmosphere) - the decision to modify is based on the service philosophy. If the place is creating and serving in quantity, I like to think that I'm a little more refined than the lowest common denominator. If the place is creating and serving individually, I expect that the time and care in ingredient selection and preparation will shine through the chef's product.

I do wish that Blair's produced non-glass containers, as I know that my product of choice won't be able to go to CP with me.
