Can you get FD and then get a Visa card later?

Yes that is what you will have to do, I am in the same boat and we are also arriving Oct. 2nd, From what I understand if you apply for a disney visa online you are immediately approved a pop up box with your disney visa will show the last 4 #'s of the card and your expiration date, you will be able to book a pkg online immediately and pay the $200 deposit but if you close the window then the opportunity is lost and you have to wait for the actual card to by mail. This is what happened to me. I called chase and they said they would fedex my card to me so I will have it by Wed. and I applied for it on Friday.

I closed the window and was able to do it 2 or 3 days later. When I logged back into the Disney World website, it auto filled in mine info about the CC.

I received my disney visa today and called and they credited my card the difference between pkgs today.

Just wanted to add that DH was approved on Moday and the card was here this morning. We're all set to go now.

We also applied for the Disney Visa card on Monday and received it today. I called at lunch and was able to get the free dining!!! I am so excited. We are arriving on 12/13, so we had to book that day seperate, but it actually came out about $75 cheaper than when I originally booked in April!!.

Make sure you call Chase and ask them to put a rush on it. Good luck! (I know the waiting is hard.)

Yay! Thank you for your tips. It worked! I paid online the $200 deposit with the new Disney Visa for our existing package. Then I called and got them to change it to the free dining package!! No problemo.

I think I'm going to attempt to book a reservation with the new visa and then call and see if they can change it, wish me luck!

Ok It worked! I booked a reservation online, then called Disney and they saw my new visa number and added free dining. We saved $215 over the AP rate PLUS have 3 one day tix to use later!

Well, I applied for the Disney Visa and put a rush on it. It came today in the mail, and I saved $255.90 more on my trip (I did have the fall discount code), saving me a grand total of $855.90!! I am so happy!
