Can you get Club level on points?

I am new to learning about DVC. I was interested in staying on the club level at the boardwalk, is it possible to stay there on points? Is that the difference between standard and preferred? Is the preferred the club level or just a better view?

Thanks

Club level is only available on the Inn side, not on the DVC side of BW and is NOT available on points. The only DVC points stay with Concierge is at AKV. The preferred points structure at BWV refers to view only.

Actually, you can use points for club level at the Magic Kingdom resorts too. But it costs a lot of points, plus $95 resort fee.

For example, Contemporary Resort Tower Club is 69 points a night Sun-Thurs, and 125 points a night Fri/Sat in Regular Season.

Thanks for clarifying. I was only considering DVC resorts.

I know you were, and she was only asking about BW Club Level. But I wanted to expand upon your answer of Animal Kingdom Club Level.

Hopefully, Disney will add Club Level DVC rooms in additional resorts. But I think AK presented an usual situation with those crappy rooms on the 6th floor.

This is the first I've heard about the 6th floor rooms being sub-par. I haven't stayed at AKV yet so I'm curious. Is there a problem with the view or what?

They are so high they come up under the overhang giving little view.

There are 5 two bedrooms. Two of them have a pool view, big waste. The other 3 two bedrooms have large overhangs blocking the views. For best viewing of the animals, the 2nd and 3rd floors are best. The sixth floor is really far away.

This was our balcony view last April

tomandrobin...Was that a concierge room view? If so, you're right, it's not so great. We really enjoyed our view from a 5th floor Sunset Savanna view room.

Yes, we were in the first room next to the actual lounge. The second time we stayed AKV Club level, we got the pool view side, which was equally impressive. :lmao:

I didn't think our club level view was too bad on the pool side. We actually liked being under the thatch!

If you wanted club level at either the Polynesian, Yacht Club or at the Grand Floridian, then you would have to exchange your DVC vacation points for, so called, reservation points and pay a $95 fee when you made your reservation. However, the amount of points needed to make a concierge vacation this way is huge.

Those pictures certainly tell the story of the 6th floor rooms. No wonder they provide you with food and alcohol. Makes sense.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao: I'm sorry there isn't enough alcohol to make up for the thatch! At least you can sleep late, since the sunlight doesn't make it in!

We have a one bedroom cl booked.. someone said 5 2bedrooms... how many 1 bedrooms are there and how many studios for DVC? I don't care much about the thatched roof but would like to know if the room will be on the 6th floor etc? Thanks in advance.

There is a total of 5 two bedroom lock offs for the whole DVC concierge level so at most there are 5 one bedrooms if they don't reserve any of the suites as two bedrooms. All are on the 6th floor. 3 will face Savanna and 2 will face the pool.

I have to say my "Garden View" Club Level at GC was just as impressive..... :lmao: To the left of this it was all roof expanse.

It's actually worse than that because to get that picture you have to move all the way over to the side of the balcony. Otherwise the thatch on the right half of the picture is all you see.
