Can you get a fan for SSR?

I have always slept with a fan & KNOW I will not be able to sleep without one. I know I can rent one but there is a $50 minimum. All I need is a fan. Does anyone know if the resort has fans there that guests can use?

I don't know about that, but why not buy a cheap fan and take it with you? Some of them are very light - I am talking about the kind you might use on your desk at work - and are inexpensive. The one I use at work throws a good deal of air and cost me $8.00 at Target. They are not the quietest fans, but I personally find the "white noise" soothing.

SSR does have ceiling fans, by the way.

Hi. I was just there in a 1-bedroom. Both the bedroom and the living room had ceiling fans.

1) People do ask for "box" fans or portable fans.
2) SSR does not have these to loan or to rent.
3) There is a safety factor which Disney cannot control.
4) Better to not offer them, than to risk a lawsuit.
5) The only "fans" are ceiling fans.

The ceiling fans really help with air circulation. However, if the sound of a fan is what you also need (and I can relate) than just take your own. I have a small box fan that has always fit nicely in my suitcase. As the other poster said, they don't have them for loan or rent at this resort.

Also, if you have a car, you can stop and buy one at Wal Mart and then just leave it there when you check out.

I would suggest a small fan like the previous poster mentioned. We have a clip-on 8" fan that we travel with - DH needs the breeze and noise. It doesn't take up too much room and clips on to most surfaces. Ahh....
