Hello!

We are doing a double dip cruise on the Dream in early June. So excited!!! Our first time cruising with the kids and the last time DH and I cruised with Disney was over 15 years ago! How time flies!

Anyhow, I was wondering if there is a way to get an idea of the itinerary for shows and such before taking the cruise? I'm planning on sewing for my daughter and would love to be able to theme her dresses to the shows and such.

TIA!

Welcome back to DCL, you can get many of the daily Navigator's on Disneycruiselineblog.com I don't know if he has any of the double dip itineraries though. Have fun!

You could check previous navigators on Disney cruiseline blog or us board here to get an estimate. For the non-show nights it is a little harder as the acts are always changing.

Thank you!! I did a search on the DCL cruise blog and found one from 2015. Looks like The Golden Mickeys, Villains Tonight and Belive. I wonder how spooky the villain show is because my youngest is still a bit leery with villains. I was secretly hoping there might be a Frozen show since there was a meet and greet available for them.

It's not spooky per se...but IMHO it's the worst show on DCL (of the ones I've seen which is all but on the Wonder).

The Frozen show is on the Wonder, not the Dream. The Dream is getting Beauty and the Beast - but not until later in the year.

I didn't go see it, but I don't think you're alone in this opinion. I think I heard that the new stage show they are working on will replace Villians.

Beauty and the Beast? Yes. Thankfully.

So bummed we're stuck with two V!T and no Beauty and the Beast yet for our upcoming B2B... Guess we'll check out what's playing at the BVT instead!

We saw Villains Tonight last year, and didn't feel it was terribly scary. They encourage the audience to boo and hiss at during the show which made it fun for my kids.

I saw that one on a girls only trip with a friend of mine. We LOVED it. Lots of audience participation and definitely not scary.

Agreed on being the worst show on the cruises. Glad they are changing up the shows. So what are we just waiting one more change at this point right? We are getting Frozen, Tangled, and now Beauty and the Beast so only 1 ship left to get a new show.

OP the shows stay the same based on the ship because they are full fledged productions. They would not be able to easily swap out shows as there is rehersal time, set pieces to build, and rigging as well as a host of other things to do. The keep the same show on the same ship for a couple years then after a dry dock swap out the shows sometimes but usually just make new ones. So the shows on your B2B will be exactly the same.

I don't know that they are necessarily giving each ship a new show. I assumed it was more a matter of wanting each ship to have a unique lineup.

Since the Fantasy has Aladdin, that means each show has a distinct movie based stage show in addition to the general Disney ones.

That's true just seemed like everyone was getting a new one so though perhaps the Fantasy would be the next one. Of course the Aladdin show is great so no need to rush it along.

Yeah, I figured they were just "rounding it out" and giving each a movie-based show.
