Can you freeze Pillsbury crescent rolls in the can?

Can you freeze Pillsbury crescent rolls in the can and do they turn out ok once defrosted and baked?

Didn't know if the can would explode in the freezer or not.

I can't get these any more, but they always said do not freeze. whether that's sue to quality issues or explosions I don't know

It says on the package not to freeze them..probably because of the packaging.
