In my county, 17 say coke, 0 say pop, 1 says soda, 1 says other. I think that soda person must be a transplanted yankee. The other was probably my ds.

Whin I was growing up in Atlanta, it wasn't just Coke- it was CoCola. And if you were really old-timey, you drank it with goobers (peanuts) in it!

That's cool!! Yeah and it's accurate from what I've experienced...I grew up in Michigan and we called it POP and here in Maryland people call it SODA. Neat map!

For SW Ohio, agree with Pop. Thanks for the link. By the way, some counties in southern North Carolina had green indicating "other." What other name is there other than coke, pop or soda?

It is right for where I live now...everyone calls it soda here.

However, in MO where I grew up, we called it Coke...and it is pretty equally divided in that county according to the map between soda and pop!

I saw soda, but I know most say pop around here... I was shocked by the number of others who do actually say soda as well though.
