Can you find PS3 games on the cheap?

Unfortunately, I'm talking about fairly new ones or even new releases. I know, I'm shooting for the moon, but hey, I gotta try.

I know my son's looking for 2 games to be under the tree this year. One is Need for Speed (Most Wanted--the newer one) and Madden 2013.

Any suggestions?

You need to be careful with some used games, as they need a code to play online and that code will have been used already. I know this is true for the EA sports games like Madden, but it is not true for Call of Duty games.

Tell your DS next year you need his list before Thanksgiving. There were awesome deals on games this year, with many of them online.

I saw a TV ad last night that ToysRus is having buy one get one 50% off right now. I am going to check it out later. Didn't catch the details so not sure if it's all games or not.

Today's Lightning Deals on Amazon. You have to check daily to catch what you might want, but Tues Dec 11 is scheduled for video games. I got Madden 2013 a few days ago for half price at $25.

ETA: And you have to be quick coz the video games go fast.

I would plead my case with one of the nice and helpful Gamestop employees. Maybe they can watch for an exchange. Some kids play the games for a while and bring them in for points/new games credit. I see Remus has already mentioned Lightening Deals on Amazon. Get there early!! My son gets up early every morning and checks then goes back to sleep.

TRU has all games and accessories buy one get one 50%, no exclusions (except microsoft point cards and cash cards like PSN money) You can get a game with a controller, or two games or whatever. I already went this week and got 2 ds games, the 50% comes off the cheapest item in the transaction so try and find 2 things similar in price.

I bought need for speed so cheap on black friday that I doubt it will be cheap again before christmas but you never know. I agree tell your DS next year try and let you know by Turkey day because I got amazing deals on amazon on Thanksgiving day and BF, also at gamestop on BF. It was ridiculous how cheap I got brand new games. I'm glad ds gave me a list in advance. It won't help you this year but will for the future.

My son never minded getting used games at gamestop for christmas because sometimes he wants out of print games or he would rather get 2 or 3 games instead of just 1 for the same money but I agree about not buying certain ones used because of game passes. My son specifically said to buy need for speed brand new, same for forza horizon and other racing games because of the passes.

Madden 13 will be easier to find cheap than need for speed just because 2012 is almost over.

Some days I'm relieved when Amazon doesn't have anything we "need" for Christmas!

This coming Sunday's Deals is Movies/TV, there'll probably be quite a few movies I'll "need" to go along with the two new blue rays I bought earlier on those dang Lightning Deals!

I generally also find Amazon.

I find Amazon, in general, has lower prices on their games.

However, TRU had a buy one get 50% off on select titles the one day, and luckily, they were 2 games DS15 requested.

I got another from Amazon, and the last from walmart .com. It took quite a while putting all the best deals together, bu I did save around $40. I honestly try not to look at the total $$ too much around the holidays.
