From when you wake up to check in at your new resort,
how does it work?
what do you do with your luggage if you don't have a car?

How do you know your new room is ready
What time are they usually ready? same time as normal check in?
Because we might need to check in because our daughter might need a nap.

What if you have a special request on the room?
and check you into one room but you get your keys ask for your request and it's available now? would they move your luggage?

Any details would be helpful...thanks

If it matters we are thinking of a split stay between BLT with MK view
and a value 2br at AKV.

Since you do not have access to a car, the first resort should transfer your luggage to the second resort. The room will be ready at the normal time, usually at 4 pm. If you are lucky, it will be ready earlier. Bell Services will deliver your luggage to your second room once you have checked in and are in the room.

As always, Disney will do their best to honor your special request, but will not guarantee it.

Hope your plans work out and you have a great vacation. :thumbsup2

Except for luggage change it is like having two totally separate reservations. You check in at first resort and then check out day you are moving. You must then check into the second resort (any time of day but if before 4 you may not get a room until 4 or after). When making the switch you can give your bags to bell services and they will ship them over to new resort and you can get them through bell services at new resort.

As to room requests, that is something you will either get or not get when checking in to each resort. If you get a room that does not meet a request and then later ask and they say a room meeting the request is now available, you probably won't be able to switch unless you pay a $75 fee to do so.

We are currently booked at POP for 8 nights in August. I was thinking of doing a split stay between there and BC. Would I have to give up my Free Dining? I booked this as a bounceback last August. It looks like the 40% off the Deluxe is better than the FD. :confused3

We did this last year.

On check out day we called and arranged with BellService to pick up our Luggage from our room and transfer it to our Second Resort. We checked out of First Resort, then made our way to Second Resort to check in.

Spent the day in the Parks.

When we got back we checked with BellService to see if our luggage had arrived and had them bring it to our room.

Easy.;)

It counts as two separate Reservations so Dining can be an issue. Best to call.

Any requests you make at either Resort depends on availability. Usually if you arrive early you stand a better chance at getting your request. DW and I usually try to get there super early and check in to get the room request. Even if the room isn't ready. Disney has it set up so they will text your mobile phone with the room number/building number when it's ready. It makes it super easy.

Hope this helped. :)

Thanks, the more I think about it the more I think I will stick with what I have and add the WPFM option to my ticket. With DS's 8 & 5, DH said we cannot justify the extra $ for the room as we are hardly ever there. I just wish I could try BC. Maybe some day when I become a DVC member.
