Can someone explain BOG breakfast to me..

We finally just snagged a 9:30AM resi for breakfast. Wondering what room we will be in? How does it work, is there a buffet? A waiter? Anything helps I have no clue!

I know dinner is a sit down there and they have the 3 dining rooms.....

There is no way to know which room you'll be in. It's not a buffet, you have to order off a very limited menu. It's quick service for breakfast, so no waiter, although they do bring your food to your table, but that's it. More like "runners" than waiters. You can pre-order your meal beginning at the 30 day mark through MDE.

I guess my main question is what room do you sit in? Do you get the same experience minus the beast?

Thank you! Can you still see the whole place even being in one certain room? We are most interested in just checking it out as we have never been inside, wish we could've gotten a dinner resi but it was impossible. We have a resi in HS the same day that I may cancel if you all suggest bog breakfast is worth doing??

Just to clarify, so even if we do BOG it'll only use a QS not sit down so we would still have another sit down needed to use that day??

No beast at breakfast or lunch...dinner only. It's a vastly different experience than dinner, given that dinner is a TS meal and breakfast/lunch is QS. It will remind you much more of a high school cafeteria type of environment...loud, crowded, and busy.

The last time I was there in April, they had the main ballroom and (I believe) the music box room open for breakfast. We got in right when they opened, so there was plenty of choice in seating (and it was not completely full anytime during the breakfast when we were there). You could either pre-order your meal online or make your selection when you arrive. Either way, you still have to go to a kiosk, verify your order, and pay. Pre-ordering the food seemed to get it to us quicker. For breakfast or lunch you get your own drink and silverware/napkins and take them to your table. There's a place in each room for that. The server will come around with a big cart with your food. It took maybe 5 minutes from the time we got to the kiosk until our food came out.

Do you guys think it's worth it for breakfast?

We've never been inside and would love to see the inside and the rose and library and everything.. Are those things you can still see and check everything out during breakfast or no? I guess we are more or so trying to check out the inside. Bummed we can't get a dinner resi but there is just too many of us I know we won't be able to snag one to fit.

We went for lunch last summer. It's was good. We're trying breakfast just because this year. It's only a QS credit.

For $22/adult and $13/kids, I do NOT think it's worth it if you pay out of pocket. However, as a CS credit on the DP, it's a better deal. To just go in to see the decor, lunch is a more "budget friendly" option since its ala cart.

It would be on a QS credit we would be using from our dining plan, not out of pocket.. For us.

How many? I thought it would be impossible to but the 8 of us got a mid-November.

13 of us, for the week before thanksgiving. The dreaded week that everyone was having a hard time getting reservations :( lol so I'm not hopeful. I'm loving the fact we snagged a breakfast but now I'm not so sure if it's worth it? Ideally it's just to check the place out and experience it a little bit.. The menu isn't a big issue or factor. But I'm not sure we will be able to check it out the same as we would be able to for dinner?

I have never been and am curious how tipping works, since it is weird set up. Do you bus your own table when you are done for lunch/breakfast? I have been trying to work my food and tip budget and don't know what to do with BOG.

OP, I would keep your reservation for now and keep searching as the date draws closer. Would you be open to splitting your party in half if you were able to book two tables for the same time? That might help you snag the reservation for the later meal of your choice. While I have not been, I have read that one of the rooms is loud. Therefore, it may not bet that big of deal if your party is split in half since you may not be able to hear one another anyway. ;)

I have both a dinner and a breakfast reservation, yes they are both very different experiences, but if all you want is to check out the new restaurant I would keep breakfast since it's only a QS credit. QS means you can walk around and look at things, TS means you're stuck at your table pretty much the whole time. I have heard people being able to eat in the West Wing if that's important to you, but they usually open that room last I think.

I think it's worth it for a pre-park opening breakfast. Or maybe if you only order one or two meals. We ordered two meals for the three of us, and I still think we paid way to much for breakfast.

Breakfast, lunch, or dinner? Breakfast has never booked up solid.

If you are using QS credits, definitely do it. If you're paying cash, figure up what you want to spend for breakfast. To answer some earlier questions, no you don't bus your own table when you are done. And as far as tipping, well they bring the food to you and clear up after you, you can use that information to make your decision. The food is very different from other quick serve breakfasts you will be able to get, and everything we've had has been delicious.

We were told last December that they cannot accept tips for lunch, so I assume breakfast would be the same.
