Can you ever get Clinique on sale?

try ebay! I can usually get stuff like that way under what I would pay at the store!

I don't think I've ever seen department store brand skin care go on sale. About every 6-8 weeks they have a gift with purchase offer on most of the major brands (Clinique, Lancome, etc.)

I use Lancome comsetics and the only time I've ever gotten them at a discount is when my sister used to get them in the PX and when I've bought them outside the USA.

Have you tried E-Bay? I have seen a ton of good deals on cosmetics and skin care up there.

i'd like to know, too!

The only "sale" I've ever found is the bonus giveaway with purchase that is usually 2-3 times a year. sometimes they have the moisturizer in them.

Try Ebay--I noticed a site that was selling various Clinique products--the samples and full size, for somewhat less than the store price, but if you factor in shipping I don't know if you save much. Give it a try!

Is there any cheaper moisturizer than Clinique that's as good? I use the Dramatically Different Moisturizer and its the only thing that doesn't clog my pores. I also use the Clinique eye cream. I tried another type of eye cream and it gav me little bumps right under my eyes. An ophthalmogist said they could be removed for about $300:scared1: Insurance wouldn't cover it because it was considered cosmetic. The eye area is way too delicate to fool with yourself. However, we went to Hawaii last summer and they just disappeared one day! I guess the intense tropical sun did it. My ds just said one day "Hey, mom! You lost your zits".:rotfl2: So I guess its either pay for a decent cream, pay to have the zits removed, or go to Hawaii!

I've never had dry skin before and this year i'm just a mess. It's awful and so far Clinique (i've been using the little freebies with the free gift) is the only one that seems to work and doesn't hurt. My skin is that dry. But if someone knows of a great alternative - I'd love to hear it

I don't know if I'd even want to risk trying another brand of facial mositurizer. I can't risk getting those little bumpies again. I can't always go to Hawaii to have the sun make them drop off. some things are worth the price. I also use the Clinique facial soap and have for years. On our tight budget its hard to justify $8 for a bar of soap, but it last for 3-4 months if I just use it for my face and keep it out of the shower.

You get what you pay for!

I have used Jurlique brand products exclusively for about six years now.

They are all natural, and like you, my skin was so dry that it hurt. Not anymore! It is expensive, but it's a lot more concentrated than the others. A tube that costs about 150% of what the department store brands costs lasts me two times longer, so in the long run it's less expensive. If you buy in one of thier retail stores they can be very generous with samples. They are also no pressure to buy, unlike most of the department store counters.

Also, I have Rosacea, and since I began using the Jurlique products it has cleared up to the point that it's almost completely gone! I'm 45 and even my MD feels that my skin looks ten years younger. Between that and my VS Ipex bras, I'm doing pretty good! :lmao:

Do you have an outlet mall near you? We have a store in our local outlet mall called Cosmetics Company Store that carries Clinique and Estee Lauder cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances at discounted prices. They don't carry the full line of products, but it might be worth looking into.

I would suggest Ebay too. I used to sell Clinique on ebay so that's the best bet.

I really like the Mary Kay moisturizer! After I quit working retail, I stopped using Clinique (didn't like the price - since I didn't get my 30% discount anymore). I think the Mary Kay make-up is very similar to Clinique and cheaper too!

i totally forgot about them! tthanks!

I, too, swear by Clinique's moisturizer and eye cream. I use both before bed and when I wake up the puffiness in my eyes is gone away. In the summer im a total pool bum and lay out nearly everyday... if I didnt use their moisturizer I would be in a heap of trouble!!

I am soooooo impressed with the Philosophy line. Great products, prices and great deals on QVC. I used to only use Clinique & Chanel and had it with the prices and they always change the formulas and don't inform their customers. I won't by on Ebay you NEVER know whos little fingers have been in the product and I think that is yucky.
People have even commented on the changes with my skin especially on no make up days!:cool1:

I am the same way-- im always afraid the product will have been altered, used, and who knows whats been done to it. Im too picky... and scared!

If they would only add an SPF to the Hope moisturizer, it would be perfect...

ACtually SPF is really harsh on your skin and it's best to not ahve it in your moisturizer, but in the foundation instead. The moisturizer will provide a barrier between the SPF and your skin.

I used to use the Clinique face soap and moisturizer, then it just stopped "working" for me! Now I use Cetaphil Skin Cleanser (they have two versions) for makeup removal and facial cleansing, and the Cetaphil® Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF 15. Works well, even though I am also using Proactive which can be very drying. I still use a few Clinique make up products and love them, just not the facial ones anymore. The only "discount" I have come across is if you sign up on their website you can get free shipping quite regularly. Sometimes it's nice not to have to go to the makeup counter to purchase, once you already know what products you like/use.
