My family and I are looking to go during Free dining this year, however we want to stay at a moderate or deluxe but get free CS dining rather than TS. We have done TS twice before and while its great we just want to save time this trip and focus on the parks. Will Disney allow me to book it this way? Thanks

I dont think so but in the DDP brouchure it now states TS credits can be used for CS. There you could take the DDP and just use the credits how you want.

No. You can upgrade free dining, but you can't downgrade it. As noted, Disney is advertising the universal useage of TS credits for CS meals this year, so it would be just like having the CS plan anyway.

As others have said, you could just use TS for CS credits.

If you are thinking of downgrading and especially staying at a deluxe resort, it may be beneficial to see how much you would save if you took a 30% room discount as opposed to using free dining and paying the rack rate. If you only eat at CS resturants you may find the savings to be more not going with free dining.
