My son and I are planning our trip to Orlando for next Springbreak, 2005. He will be 14 and we really want to hit Universal. We are staying at WDW but can spare a day to do Universal. I see they have the 1 day 2 park tickets which is great. We would only be doing thrill rides at both parks. Can you really do both in one day?

You can come close...with front of the line access.

Expect long lines during spring break..as universal and IOA are very popular with the young crowd!

Yes, it can be done. The 2 park 1 day pass is like $69. Not the best deal, but it is there.

You arrive to IOA at 8am, get your tickets, get to the front of the gate and wait. When IOA opens, you ride Hulk, Spiderman, Dr. Doom, high tail it to the back of the park for Deuling Dragons, then do JPRA and Rip Saw Falls. This will take you about 2 hours if only doing the fun rides.

Then you head over to USF. Only problem here is the express pass machines will be sold out, and the lines will be long. They sell express pass booklets at the front of the park. It may be worth buying one for USF so you can get on the Mummy ride.

Universal Studios has 2 great theme parks, neither of which can be fully experienced in less than a day if it's crowded.

So I wouldn't reccomend going less than 2 days if you want to see both parks
