Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to deliver something to your hotel room? We will be staying at POR and since this is our 1st trip I really wanted to surprise our girls with Disney princess dresses in our room when we arrive. princess:

I think this can be done. I've used the WDW Florist a couple times to have gift baskets sent to peoples room's and all I give them is their name and resort - they find them and put them in the room.

Call POR front desk and ask them about it. I think they'll find a way to help.

Hi
I am not sure if this helps but I listen to the DIS podcasts and they had on a woman who's bussiness was delivering surprises and arranging events for people on vacation in WDW. It is called events of a lifetime there is a link on the poscast site. I have never used this service but it sounded good when they were interviewing her. I hope this gives you some help.

To be honest, it might just be as easy...and definitely cheaper...to do it yourself right when you check in. You could distract the girls while one of the adults went to the room and put the dresses there.

Definitely do not count on the staff at the hotel to do it!! I've read more than one story on these boards where the hotel "lost" the gifts!!!

Good luck!! Your girls will love it!!! You should write them a note from Cinderella or one of the princesses!

WDW Florist is great, but expensive. I would look around for other ideas or create a basket by yourself when no one is looking!

I'm in the same boat as you - I have little bags of goodies for each of my girls that I want to be in the room when we get there. I don't know 100% how I'll do it, but I'm thinking that I will have DH or one of the grandparents take the kids to the pool or something right when we get there, and I'll run to the room and put them on their beds myself. If I can get the bell hop to do it, then great, but I'm not counting on it.

Have Tinkerbell leave them at night!

While we are sleeping Tink leaves all sorts of goodies for DD. Glow sticks, $5 Disney store Ts, little toys, candies. etc.

It's actually Gifts of a Lifetime. www.giftsofalifetime.com

Unless you are staying conceirge, there is no one that can have anything in your room prior to check in. Room assignments can change. If you really want a surpirse in your room, ask for whatever to be delivered AFTER you check in (go to the pool, park, dinner etc)

I arranged to have BW concierge display something in our room for when we arrived. Even after countless emails and phone calls to assure it would be ok, it was not there when we got our room. Only after we left, went to dinner for 2 hours and then came back, did they bump into us in the hall and hand us the bag of stuff. Needless to say the surprise was ruined and things didn't get better after that (but that's another story!!).

I only say this to warn you that if the item is not in the room when you want, not to get disappointed - just roll with the punches! I let it bother me a lot and it soured my impression of BW concierge.

Have a good time!
