Can you compare early May to early June for me?

Last year we went early June and it was hot, rained every evening, and was crowded. Having said that we still had a wonderful time. One day the rains drove everyone off & we got to see Spectromagic with "less" crowds!

This year we're going the week of May 8th. Could someone who has been in May tell me what to expect?

Bump for ya! I'm getting there May 9th and would like to know this too!

I'm really curious as to crowds and weather...I'm hoping it won't be too
HOT? And what are ride wait times like?

we have gone early June to late June - and crowds are definitely picking up in early June. I have also been very late april to early may and the place was empty - that trip was a longh time ago though. They had just opened the Epcot countries of the world.

I ran a poll on when kids get out of school. It might help give you an idea of what to expect for crowds in May and June - it should be on the first page or two of this section of the site

Early May is usually light crowds, we never waited more than 15 min for anything except to see Ariel. We did use speed pass for the major rides. One difference might be the closing times of the parks, except for the late days MK usually closes at 7pm, AK, 5pm, MGM, 8 or 9pm and EPCOT 9pm. If I had a choice I would always go in the begiining of May, the weather is warm enough to swim and the crowds are light. The crowds maybe a little heavier this year due to the start of the 100 yr celebration on 5/5.

Right now on Disney's website for early May, the week of May 9th, it shows MK closing at 9pm -- (wouldn't 7pm be kinda early by that time to be able to do Wishes?) I'm guessing maybe that is due to the celebration starting May 5th. Do you think they are just tentative hours?

Hi There! MAY IS A WONDERFUL TIME TO GO!!!

I prefer to go in May over any other time. I usually arrive on Mother's Day and will again this year (May 8) and I find that the weather is very, very pleasant and the crowds are manageable. I never have waited more than 20 minutes on any ride during this time of year. Things might be a bit different this year since the big celebration starts May 5, but overall, you just can't go wrong with early May.

Also, the occurence of rain is lighter in May than in June.

Hope you have a fine time! I'll be there right when you are there!
