Can you check on hotmail if someone has read your email?

Can anyone help me, i want to know if my friend has read there email yet is there any way of knowing on Hotmail?

Im sure you can but i cant remember.

I think when you send the message you can ask for a receipt when the person reads it, but other than that I really don't know.

Hopefully someone will come along who can help you more - sorry I can't !!

Sorry, once you've sent an e-mail there is no way of knowing if it has been read or not.

Even if you ask for a 'read receipt' when you send the e-mail the person you are sending to can opt not to send the receipt back.

you can ask for a recpeit if they have read it,but it depends if the recipient whants to confirm if they have recived it
