Can you buy base tickets for 4 days at your resort when you get there?

Can you buy 4 day base tickets at your resort instead of ordering them ahead of time....just in case you have travel delays? And do they still put them on your resort key?

You can buy park passes at your resort or at any theme park. Not sure what you mean by 'travel delays'? The tickets aren't dated, once you purchase them they're good forever if unused. So if you buy your tickets ahead of time, and then have to postpone your trip, they'll still be good.

I was thinking that if our plane was delayed we wouldn't get to the resort in time to use the first days ticket and I wouldn't need 4 days, just 3 days.

We bought our tickets at Magic Kingdom last year, however, they were not put on our room key. We had separate park tickets.

Oh, OK, I understand. Sure, you can get them at the resort, or just buy them when you get to the theme park. Whichever's more convenient for you.
