Can You Buy a Smaller Add On from DVC

Maybe this has been asked before......I was wondering if you can buy a smaller DVC contract 50 - 75 points at a different resort as an add on other than your home resort direct from Disney Vacation Club? (that is if one is available). Or can you only add on to your home resort?

If you are a member, you can buy an add on for any resort directly from Disney. Of course, that assumes Disney has the points available to sell you. Disney will only sell you the same use year, so if you are looking for a smaller add on for one of the sold out resorts, you might end up waiting a while.

Yes, if you are already a member you can add on small contracts for any resort directly from DVC.
25 points minimum (50 points minmum if financing thru Disney).
Of course it depends on availability for sold out resorts, and it has to be the same use year.
If your use year is not available but another UY is, and you want to go ahead and buy it, it would be a new membership at 150 point minimum

I make sure when I do an add on - it is enough for 5 nights in a studio during adventure season. (value - offseason).

50 points for BWV (standard view so really 45).

60 points for VWL and BCV.

40 points for OKW.

I have done four small add-ons -- three at BCV and one at OKW. All came through fairly quickly. Spiceycat's approach makes good sense.

As long as the points are available, then yes you can do this. Of course, this is only for those who are already members (as in your case).

I just did another 60 pt add on at BCVs the day before yesterday while we were there! It's our third add on!
