i knew really that you couldn't do it.,and i would never be brave enough to do it. i like your ideas though of the candle warmers,and the febreeze and really when you think about it you aren't really in the rooms long enough to smell them anyway.

Head to Yankee Candle and get one of their plug in units...like someone just said...plug it in, plug it in. Much safer and the scent isn't going to be quite as strong as a candle, which would make it easier if the guest following you had any allergy issues. In any case, I would remove it the day before you were due to leave..just to clear the scent out a bit.

Because when you rent an apartment, you have some kind of insurance and it is essentially your responsibility if you burn the whole building down. You are liable. When you are in a hotel it becomes Disney's responsibility, so they set the rules, which makes anything that is a fire risk a no-no.

Maybe they are fake candles?? Since they are "Magically Lit." I know you can buy candles that really look real and even smell nice...maybe you should get some of those...there is even a flame looking thing that is somehow fake.

Besides the fire hazzard why should other guests have to smell them. Just because you like the smell does not mean other people would. And for some it could cause health problems. (asthma & allergy triggers)

I would also suggest the flameless candles. They can make a room smell nice without any worry of something catching on fire. I've heard of the plug in's also causing fires, so I am wary of using them in my home.

The "magically lit" makes me think they are the kind with the flickering lightbulb that are battery operated. I highly doubt they'd leave burning candles in your room for you to find later.

Our brand new college apartments had no candle policy but my brothers roomate couldn't resist. Started a fire in thier kitchen on the third floor, sprinkler system quickly put it out but also flooded 6 apartments on the 2 floors below them. Cost for burning that one candle: a couple hundred thousand and before tyou ask yes they paid it (well his parents), the University had us sign agreements to the rules and that was one of them, making him finanicially responsible for the damage.

I would never imagine brining a candle with me on a trip to any hotel, Disney or not. I am more concerned with important things like making sure plenty of deoderant, sunscreen, clothes and other toiletries getting into my suitcase.

Not pointing out anyone, but please if you don't have something constructive to say...don't say it. The OP asked an honest question and it has been answered with good suggestions for alternatives (like fake candles!) and great comments on safety. Some people have very little experience with fires and don't know the rules. No one should get in trouble for just asking a question. The worst place for sarcasm is online because it is so often misunderstood and can be hurtful to others.

I think the OP has gotten some great recommendations. I did want to suggest also the reed diffusers. I have seen them locally in various Yankee Candle scents!
I work in a "flame free" workplace, so many of our employees use the candle warmers. Great alternative to lighting the candle (and makes the scent last longer!)

Oh, I like this idea. No flame, and no electric plug in that could (but not likely) cause a fire. Completely danger free.

I use them at work because I don't have a free outlet for a candle warmer and my office tends to smell like old people.
