Does anyone out there know if you can bring a couple bottles of wine or other alcoholic beverages abord the Wonder in your checked luggage? Also, are the wine packages at dinner worth buying?

We have taken wine on board a couple of different times. Can't help you with the wine package.

I believe you can bring any drinks you want onboard with you. If you plan to bring the wine to dinner they might charge you a corkage fee of around 15.00 + a tip of 2.25. Thats 17.25 to bring your own wine to dinner!

You can bring any kind of drinks you want to on the DCL ships but please do not pack it in your checked luggage. DCL request that you bring it in your carry-on and they will not take it away. We took wine in our carry-on last year, we had 5 bottles. If you like wine with dinner and you are looking for wines on the regular wine list (not the reserve list) than I do believe the wine package is good deal.

Yes...on our Jan31 Wonder sailing we brought wine, coolers and beer for our cabin. I had read several postings on this board that it was ok to do so...which surprised me since I thought they would really discourage this so they could sell you their alchohol.
We did a combination of checked/carry on depending on the package type....beer cans went checked and glass bottles went carry on.....note: either way, make sure it is covered up or in some kind of bag....they just don't want the alcohol out in plain view I assume because it doesn't fit the Disney image. We had our own mugs that we used during the cruise that we took to the pool area and other casual areas....but we also ended up purchasing beer and some fancy drinks as we found that the prices were not as bad as we had imagined....Happy sailing.

Several of us brought a few bottles of wine onboard with us. We had a wine tasting party on Mon afternoon on back of deck 7.
Ordered a few cheese & fruit plates from room service.

I did pack it in checked luggage. I went to the wine store and asked if they had a box for packing it in. They came out with a heavy styofoam tray type of thing that wine had been shipped to them in. It held 3 bottles. I just taped the 2 halves together and stuck it in a suitcase. I also taped 12 packs of other drinks together, wrapped them in brown paper (it looked like a box) then out of tape wrapped it around and formed a handle to carry it. I stuck a luggage tag on top and sent that on as checked also. They asked what the package was and I said drinks in cans and that was fine.

We plan on bringing drinks on board- DH and I read that you could do this and we were so excited, that we upgraded to a veranda room, we have plans on putting the kids to bed by 10- or 10:30 and then having drinks on the veranda.
