Can you bring fast food dinner into Fantasmic stadium? Or what to do while waiting?

I was thinking of going to Fantasmic 60 minutes prior to showtime. Wanted to get a fast food dinner and bring it into the stadium to eat while we waited. Have you ever done this? Will I find anything open at 7:45 at night? (I find fast food places in MGM close early).

Was wondering what else to do with my kids while we were waiting.

Thanks,

Anna

They have food kiosks along the back of the ampitheater...I know they sell hot dogs and people walk around selling popcorn and soda as well as cotton candy. We usually buy a hot dog and some chips while we wait. Then we do a lot of people watching and ducking those light up spinning things. :)

You sure can! We also usually buy from the vendors right there but I have seen others bring all kinds of food. Nothing has ever been said that I have seen.

Just as an FYI - kinda off topic - bring an extra shirt or sweat shirt to sit on.

those benches are NOT friendly to your bum after a half hour. My bum was KILLING me by the time the show actually started!

I usually grab something from Rosie's Redhots (chicken fingers, burgers) before I walk in the amphitheater. Definitely not a problem.

As for what will still be open at 7:45, you should check the park guide. It will tell you what places will still be open, but since you're planning on getting to the show 1 hour before it starts, that would be one hour prior to park closing, if not earlier, so you should still find things open.

As for killing time before the show...about 30 min before showtime there is usually a live warm-up act. It's usually an energetic one-man offering. When we were there last, "Delman the Bellman" kept the crowd in stitches with slapstick, juggling, and amazingly enough...a roll of duct tape. Can anyone confirm if he's still there?

No pre-show entertainment when we were last there in January. Don't know if he is gone for good, or just not there that particular week. The wait can get long, be prepared for your kids begging for light-up toys, they peddle these all over the stadium and it's hard to sit there for an hour without buying one! We jsut go ahead and plan for that in our son's budget.

yes, you can bring in food. Normaly the fast food windows on the strip leading up to the entrance will be open until the park closes :D

the pre-show act has been gone for a little over a year :(

and on a side note, be nice and carry up your trash you bring down with u to a trash can at the top;) CMs work hard enough as it is :p :) :jester:
