Does anyone know if you are able to do this for the 7 night Eastern Carribean?

I thought some of you would know so I wouldn't have to call MS on a Monday.

Plus, I'm only curious and just starting to do some research, etc.

Do you know how far in advance you can book. We are looking at Nov. 13, 2004.

Thanks in advance.:boat:

Nope!!! You can book 11 months out for a cruise. If you're on the ship, you can rebook 14 months out according to the DVC saleslady on the cruise.

Wow, I called MS before I read your reply and they said if we wanted to book a 7 night Eastern Carribean in a Cat 3 it would be 474 pts per person.

That's a little much for us. We have a lot of pts and don't mind using them for a cruise but we would probably make other arrangements in that case.

The Cat 3 probably wouldn't even be available when we called at 11 months out, anyway.

:D

I was told you can not book a cat. 3 with points. I would have used points for one person and then cash for the other two....darn...oh well I like cat.6 just fine anyhow

Ann,

Maybe you could give MS a call. Is there any way they could convert your reservation over to pts?

I couldn't believe it when she said 474 per person.

Oh well, maybe you can book some other time with points.

I highly doubt this would be available when we went to book it anyway.

At this point the cash has just been spent on a sprinkler system (they are working on it right now in fact ) maybe some other year.

According to what we were told when we went to rebook on the ship this past August, you still have to wait until the 11 month window to book with points. However, we had up to 14 months to "use" our discounted points, not "book" another cruise.

Unless this has changed VERY recently you can only book 11 months out on the cruise with DVC. Believe me--I was 10 days out from the 11 months and COULD NOT book onboard using my points because of that 10 day span. :(

It has not changed, we had to wait until 9-22-03, to book our 8-21-04 cruise with points. We just changed our cash ressie that we booked on board, to a points and cash ressie on 9-22-03 through DVC.

Ahhh, maybe that's what it was - didn't apply to us anyway since we booked the Xmas 10 day - still waiting to hear if they'll let us use some points on that one - OUCH!!!

to hear we can start booking CAT 3's - when did that take affect I wonder... still shows in the member guidebook & Website we can book up to a CAT 4... :scratchin

MS said today we would have to wait until Dec. 13 (15th because the 13th is a Sat.) to book the November 13, 2004 cruise with our points.

She said that you can book Cat. 3 even though it is not in the book.

Are Cat 3's reserved far in advance and hard to get?
