Can you believe what some people will do?

This morning my nurse took a message from a woman who wanted some samples of Viagra for her boyfriend. She didn't want her husband to find out. My nurse asked if her boyfriend was a patient in our office. The woman said "No, but my husband is. Can't you just put the samples on his chart?". The nurse explained to her we couldn't give her boyfriend any medication unless he was a patient at our office, so she hung up. She is lucky that she didn't speak to me, because I likely would have laughed at her. The whole office had a good laugh at that one. No, we didn't tell her husband, I don't even know who she was, but this story was too funny not to share.

The nerve really was in the asking. Did she really think anyone could help her? (BTW I hear from an old patient of mine you can buy those pills all over the places in Los Vegas like candy.) Or at least this is what my patient said. Keep in mind this patient was seeing me court mandated because he called in a bomb threat and had other delusional and paroind behaviors.

I agree a new boyfriend would solve that problem. She can buy them on the streets if needed i guess.
