Can you bank transferred points?

Newbie question: If points have been transferred to your account by another member, can you bank them for the next year? Example: Someone has 100 points from Feb 2009 and they transfer them to me (they would expire on Jan. 31, 2010 if owner kept them). Can I bank them? Or, can those points only be used up until Jan. 31, 2010?

Transferred points can be banked.

The transfered points are supposed to retain their UY, but they can be banked.
