I notice alot of menu items come w/ creamy sauces. For those who are trying to eat healthy can you ask them to omit the sauces or ask for them on the side?
I am not sure on prepared foods, like fast food type of places, but in sit down restaurants, I have asked for the sauce on the side and most times it has been done.
Disney accommodates all types of dietary needs, so I am sure that omitting cream sauces is a definite thing that they can do for you.
True life example of Disney caring for its guests:
My brother is severely allergic to chicken. When we ate at one of the buffets, he wanted some vegetable soup. He asked the chef what type of stock was used in the soup, and the chef said "chicken." My brother was disappointed, said "thanks anyway, I'm allergic." The chef then specially prepared a vegetable soup for my brother with vegetable stock and PERSONALLY delivered it to the table. Now that's service!
Back to main point: leaving off a sauce will be no problem.
I saw the chef at Crystal Palace do the same thing for a friend. As a friend of mine once said (manager of a well known fine dining restaurant), "Excellent food mediocre service, empty restaurant. OK food, excellent service and you will always be full."
Almost any restaurant, not just at Disney, will accomodate that type of request. The only exception would be those restaurants that serve food that's prepared in advance and aren't able to serve the food without the sauce. Even Burger King will hold the special sauce for your whopper.
