Can you add the dining to existing ressies?

I have ressies to POR for October after the free dining. Can I add the dining plans with my AAA discount? Do you have to be an AP holder to get the DDE card, is it worth the $75?

You can only get both the AAA discount and the dining plan when you book directly through a AAA travel agency. Discounts are subject to availability - so certain resorts/room types might not be available.

Otherwise, you might be able to add on the dining to a reservation you already have booked if 1) there's package availability and 2) you buy at least a 1 day MYW base ticket for each person. This does need to be handled prior to your arrival - not sure on the cutoff.

You have to be either an AP holder or FL resident to purchase the DDE card.

How about adding the dining to a regular room only ressie, not AAA, not free dining?
What changes about the regular room only when it becomes a package? deposit? cancel time?
Would you suggest that I add it now for a Dec 2006 trip? Or do I have time?

You can only add the dining package to a room & ticket package. To make your room only into a package, you have to buy at least a 1-day MYW ticket for everyone staying in the room.

Can't answer your questions about the cancellation and deposit policies for packages, but I know they are different (more restrictive) from the room only reservations.

we are going( prbably in NOv ) of 06 and i am waiting. in a few months i'll reserve the rooms( when i know exactly who and when we are going) but i don't want to buy the tickets yet in case there is a ticket promo before we go. sometimes it's a ticket thing, sometimes it's rooming. since the dining was such a hit if it was cost effective they could do it again but i am wondering if it was to big a hit and they wont'( that would save me the most) if you are going early DEc usually we have reserved rooms up till a few months before without any problem
