CAn you add people to a CRT reservation ( or other reservations?)

We have never eaten at CRT. July will be our first time. We can't wait!

As I said before, I am new to this, so I apologize if this is a silly question.
I don't want to get flamed!

Here's my question. Our best friends have had their trip planned to Disney for almost a year. They are supposed to leave on June 9th. However, their DD (3) has had a MAJOR, nearly life-threatening reaction to a medication; and they will have to reschedule their trip by a few weeks. They have also had their ADR's for a long time.

Anyway... We will be going July 8-14. We have an ADR for a Cinderella breakfast on our trip. Our friends do also, but will have to cancel the ADR when they reschedulr the trip. They are more than likely going to reschedule their trip for the same week we will be there. Can we call Dining and add 3 people to our reservation? Is that possible? My idea was to spread a little magic and surprise them, since they will be losing theirs. Their DD has been talking about eating with the princesses for months. I would be devistated for her if she missed it. I'd also feel guilty kowing we were eating there and she lost her chance.

Any ideas?

I had a ressie for 2 people and called to add our 2 friends and they said no. They had no more tables for 4.

Its all based upon availablity. If they can accomodate you, they will, but CRT is extremely popular and fills up fast. You could always try to make an ADR for the six of you at the Norway meal in Epcot. Its cheaper, typically doesn't fill up as fast and has tons of princesses at all three meals. Not sure you could get in there either however this late in the game. If you do get an ADR, then when your plans are solid, you can cancel the one that no longer fits. I wouldn't cancel your original ADR until you know for sure they will be there too.

There is also 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian. At night, Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother host a meal there.

I really hope it works out, that little girl needs to have her princess meal! If you can't change or make new plans, keep trying, right up to the day of. People change and cancel all the time, you might luck out and call right after somebody does. I sure hope so !

They can't just add or even take away from a reservation. They must cancel and rebook for the right amount so it is based on their availability.

You can't just add people to your ADR because they book your ADR based on table size. Call and ask though, you never know when someone might cancel.

As a last resort, would the dads be disappointed if they missed it? If you are a party of 3, you'll probably be seated at a table for 4. You might be able to add 1 person to your ADR, making it for 4. You and the other mom and the 2 girls could eat at CRT if the dads wouldn't mind skipping it.

You can't add people to the ressie, I tried last night.

But what you might try is to get a ressie with 2 tables and split up your party. Which is what I just did last night, we had an orginal ressie for 4 @ coral reef for dinner in july, & i needed to add my mom & step dad to the ressie, so I asked if they could break us up and do 2 tables.
The last time we had 2 tables, we got lucky and they put us all together at one table (they pushed the table of 4 together with the table of 2) which I really hope they do again. Good luck and keep calling back each day.

I've tried too and you can't add, just rebook and I doubt CRT will have the availablity.
