I was wondering if anyone knew if we could add on a plan, ie. Silver or Gold to a package after arrival if we wanted?
We are debating getting the silver plan as we are 3 adults and 1 child.... my mother thinks it would be worth it for myself,my DS and her but not for dad... such a picky eater and rarely does tours(although the disney bug has bitten him bad.. every day he asks my mother about my countdown).
Thanks for any help.

The problem is, you can't just selectively add it; it has to be for everybody in your group.

I don't know if you can add it after you get there, or not. I know I added it, then did the math and took it back off.

Hi KDawnLily,

You might want to check out the thread called "Dining/Overwhelmed" on the Restaurant Board. This is mine and DH's first trip to Disney as adults and we debated booking the "silver plan" with our FairyTale Package.

After telling all these Disney Guru's our eating habbits and basic needs/wants for our trip they ALL provided fabulous info! After getting many opinions we opted not to take it. The thread is rather long so you will have many experiences to go by.

After creating and reading the Dining/Overwhelmed thread I was talking to my Nana. She told me when she took her husband and 2 children to Disney about 5 years ago they had a similiar plan. The only benefit she saw with it was the kids (mid and late teen at the time) could go off on their own and not have to worry about cash. Perhaps from that angle it would work better. For DH and I we feel we can do better and maximize our food budget more effectively on our own.

Thanks to the good people here I was directed to a site called mousesavers.com. On this site there is a link that provides a very clear explanation of what the plan includes.

I am very glad I asked before I purchased it and was in a better position to make a very informed decision.

HTH!

First off, everyone in the party has to be on the Silver plan, you can't selectively decide who and who does not get it. Also, I don't think you can add it at check-in and has to be done before arrival.

Thanks to all of you. I think we have decided against the plan, esp. after reading your Post PugLover(thanks, BTW).
We are going in Nov., staying on Site for 11 days, it would be well over $2300US for the added wishes and I don't think that we will spend that on food and such for everyone.

I love these boards... everyone is so helpful.

Thanks again!

I have asked *so* many questions over the past few days since discovering this site I am thrilled to be able to contribute.

This board is so fun! The other message board I read is about finance, hardly as fun and happy as Disney :)

Have a nice day!
