Can you activate an AP at the TTC or only buy an activated AP at the TTC?

I can't seem to find a decisive answer to this question anywhere. Can some AP holders help me out here. I have ordered the AP pass from Disney and we are staying at the Poly. I was hoping not to have to go into the parks until we had checked in and I was trying to avoid having our towncar have to go to Downtown Disney. Help please!!

I've read on the boards that the resorts will ask to see your voucher and will accept that if you haven't already had your AP activiated. No need to make a stop.

You can do it after check in but you can walk from the poly to the ttc. You can do both at the ttc. buy you ap (and its activated, or activate your voucher). If your using an ap discount you will need the ap or voucher with you at check in thou.
