get a family picture taken with Mickey in Disneyland?

We have one from 2001 and 2004 from WDW. Not sure when all of us will be able to go to Florida again (oldest DD is in college). We're making a quick 3-day trip to DL at the very end of November.

Is it difficult and do you think the lines would be long (Nov 30-Dec 2)?

Thanks for your help.

Mickey shows up around the parks, but a sure-fire way to get a pic with him would be to go to Toontown & visit his house while he's there.

All of the weekends during the holiday season are busy, but if you go early in the day, the line should be a bit shorter.

I agree Toon Town, it usually opens 1 hour after the park opens. If you get there right when they open it and walk straight to Mickey's house, there will be no crowds at all.

Sounds like a good plan - I just hate to pass up the opportunity to get a photo update. When I look at the old pictures, I can't believe how much my DDs have changed (grown up!).

Thanks for your help.

If you have a disney visa you get a special meet and greet in ariel's grotto... 2 years ago it was mickey and goofy not sure who it is now..

Adding to previous advice, the lines for Mickey's house can be long. Your best best is to go during TTMM or first thing on a non-TTMM day. First thing on a non-TTMM day would be one hour after DL officially opens.

Definitely possible, just check out my sig line. We had ours done during MTTMM. Next time we will probably just go to TT on a non-MTTMM day, right when TT opens.

Another way is to do the Happiest bday in the Plaza. It is $10/person but sometimes it is worth the money not to stand in the Mickey's house line. That line gets reaaaaalllly long unless you get there first thing in the am.

I'm not familiar with the event at the Plaza - what is the $10 for and what is it?

Thanks

I admit that racing around the park to see the characters and standing in long long lines is a big pain to me. If I have to stand in line, it better be for a good ride!

Still, I want my kids to see them and get autographs and pictures so we pay to do it and avoid the lines. We pay and do Goofy's Kitchen, Plaza Inn(only place to see Pooh without waiting in the critter country line) and the b-day party. The bday party is $10/person and it is in the afternoon at the Plaza Inn. It is outside on the left as you approach and I believe that you need reservations.

You each get a drink and a small 5" not so great cake to decorate with icing and candies. After the cake decorating, Mickey and Minnie visit and you march around in a little "parade" circle and then you can take your own pictures with Mickey and Minnie. You can get "add-ons" like bday buckets too but the last time, the extras were not really impressive. The first time we did it there were lots of buckets and things to choose from, last time was just Mickey or Princess.
