I can think of a couple of reasons: Walking will sometimes get you to IOA faster. (You have to backtrack from the boat dock.) If you're going to IOA, by the time you factor in the "extra" distance you have to backtrack from the dock, it's not much farther to walk. You need the exercise. Well, at least I do.
