We have booked as a party of 8 for August (free dining) and it looks like one adult can't go.

If it is all paid for upon checkin at SSR can the rest of our party use his dining credits or will they deduct his credits.

Any thoughts are much appreciated.:)

If he doesn't check in then you won't be allocated credits for him. You do realise you will still be paying for a ticket for him also. I can't understnad why, if he can't go, you don't cancel his place on the trip - surely that would save you money in the long run :confused3

Thanks for your quick reply. Thats what I thought, I need to get on to Disney to take him off the booking. I guess there will be a £25 admin fee.

I dont think we could eat anymore food anyway as we are always full on the dining plan.:)

He would lose the deposit but surely you are within the cancellation period?
Or have you booked room only and therefor if there's only one person in the room your still going to pay the same price.

We booked with Disney UK with the free dining/tickets/SSR deal last year and we are within our cancellation period. There was going to be 8 in a 2 bedroom villa at SSR but now my brother in law is not going.

We thought if we could use his credits then it was not worth cancelling his ticket/dining plan.

But as it looks like we cant then we might as well save some £s and cancel his place.

I know this an unusual situation but we just wanted the best of what turned out to be a difficult situation for my sister in law.

If you've had free dining and free tickets then you wouldn't get anything back if you cancelled him off the booking, you pay for the room at Disney not per person usually. If that's the case I wouldn't cancel him off and just leave it, at check-in they don't check how many people are check in in, you can say he's arriving later if they asked, all the dining credit's are pooled together per room so you can use his credits, no-one is to know you technically paid for him in the room cost so I would use them, even if you just used the snack credits.

If it is free dining they check everyone is at check in, oddly they were people on the boards who made up children to get more CS credits in past years.:confused3

I am sure they didn't check when we had free dining last year - DH and DD stayed with the cases and I checked us in at CSR.

Can you remember if you had to show their passports. As we wont have his.

The 14 day park ticket will be paid for so Disney is not losing any money. We wouldnt want to be dishonest it was just a thought on whether it would be better to save the money by a refund or to use the credits towards breakfast etc.

they dont always check as we have done it(free ddp) several times, they usaly only ask for person whose name its booked in.As that person should be the one checking in. when we have had 3 rooms 10 people they only whanted lead person from each room.no way did they ever ask for all 10 of us
