Can we talk princess dresses?

Oh, I have never heard of Little Dress Up Shop, thanks for sharing. However, my daughter is a tiny almost 2 year old. I'm having a hard time finding a princess costume anywhere that will fit her. Any suggestions for this?

Ordering dresses from the Little Dress Up Shop for the 3 granddaughters (4,5 & 7) for Akershus Princess Breakfast the first week of June. The gowns are beautiful and comfortable. The girls will change into shorts & t-shirts afterwards because it is so hot & humid and wearing the dresses all day would make them miserable.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions! After lots of comparing, I ended up getting the Cinderella dress from jcpenney (the recent movie version) and it's gorgeous and seems to be pretty sturdy. And wayyy cheaper than the one on Disney's site.

I might also order one from the Little Dress Up shop because those are just adorable and look super comfy to wear in the parks.

You could always try Etsy. Also, if you sew or know anyone who sews it would be pretty easy to make a basic peasant dress into a nice comfortable princess dress. I love making tiny little dresses, so easy and so little fabric ;)

Aside from the ones in the Disney stores and parks, do you have a preference? I've bought couple from Walmart that fell apart within weeks. And one from Halloween express which I expected to disintegrate but it honestly held up longer than I expected.

Right now I'm looking at some from Target, and the Little Adventures brand?
Specifically this dress on Amazon.

I know it doesn't need to be top quality, but I want something that's at least comfortable and won't fall apart after a day or so of wear.

We actually have that dress from Amazon! It was a gift from an aunt and uncle. It is very cute, and durable. The only issue we has was that it dragged on the pavement and she kept tripping over it when she wore it out side because it was a large size for her. We live in New England, so I always buy them big so my youngest can wear them over her coat, etc. There was a time when she LIVED in those dresses.

I also would check Etsy if you aren't pressed for time. A lot of the time they are constructed with cotton, so the fabric will be durable, breath easily in the heat, and repairs that will be needed will be easier because you aren't trying to sew on organza or tulle. Most of the time they are reasonably priced, and they are unique. My youngest calls them the "real" dresses because the ones I bought tend to be closer to the way the princesses are actually dressed. Not covered in glitter (that is wicked cute, but covers your whole suitcase if you aren't careful. Even when I bag them, someone ends up dumping the bags all over the place. Must be Tink).

Good luck!

When it was impossible to find anything Frozen, my mom bought my daughter an Elsa dress from Etsy. It has held up so well and she loves it! We will take it to Disney but not sure if she will wear it in the parks.
