I cannot remember if they allow you to have sandals with gel ? I remember reading something about this a long time ago ? Does anyone have any information on this ?

Delta does not have any restrictions on your footwear. Its TSA that controls what is allowed and not. Since your shoes will be taken off to go through the scanner you won't have any problem.

I travel with gel insoles in my shoes all the time and have never been stopped.

I had no problems with my gel sneakers, or my dd sandles Nike, with gel. Now the last minute stop for hair spray that got tossed in the carry on instead of a checked bag got taken. $18 down the drain...THat was TSA not the airline.

Oh, the bag with the pliers to fix my roator wheels, TENS unit and it had a Game boy III I think it was. They took the suitcase, open asked about the pliers and told us it needed to be further checked out. THe case was all gone through, and left open, everything unfolded. They told us we could not have it back at the TSA security point but someone would give it to use on the otherside. it was zipped up when we got it back.

Three days later the airport called that our Game boy was there, left at TSA. I said we did not pack a game boy in a back pack. The grandsons mother had it in the 20" that they went through. Thank goodness we sticker everything. They also had my folder with itinary in it.
SOOOO the airport wants us to send a box prepaid to send it to us! They took it out and forgot to put it in? Gee, the TENS unit should have been more threatening looking in a hard box with the wires inside then a game boy bag?

I am really PO's to pay this extra fee to send the box and to mail it back. They should be returning it to US!
Air travel ergh. We did not return through this airport, we landed at one closer.
