I know it is not the best use of points but I want to see the whales :) the RCI in vancouver looked horrid ( but there were only two picture) if anyone has been pleaser let me know. I see interwest is still on the dvc website can we still use them? It looked like review are much better for the vancouver site. I have never traded points and looking for any info on the success or failure of trading with passport collection

I think trading is suspended right now temporarily to allow the other side to catch up but it's possible it could have already opened up again. It sounds like the studios leave a lot to be desired but the 1 BR is not bad for 2. We were just in Vancouver and this is a great location. At 287 for peak season in a 1 BR, it is steep for the trade though.

We stayed at the Intrawest Downtown Vancouver at easter and loved it. Just a studio but it had a king bed, microwave, toaster, dishes, small fridge. The bathroom was great-huge, no tub but walk in shower type of thing. They have a members lounge for info etc on the 29th floor. They had a telescope in the room (floor to ceiling windows). Great views of the water and the mountains. It's actually part of the Sheraton Wall Centre Vancouver-have a look at their site.

thank you all for the info. The points are steep but I just don't want the hassle of renting out my points to pay cash for vancouver...the etra pics were great. thanks again. I will call ms to see if it is still suspended. we would need a onw bedroom as we have two kids. thanks again. tough choice vancouver vs treehouse :cool1:

You're welcome. I guess the choice would be easier depending on the time of year. In Winter I would do treehouse, in summer I'd do Vancouver.

My daughter loves the whales and we were thinking september as the resident orcas should be in town :) but skipping wdw for a whole year is a bummer too lol I consider myself lucky to have this decision to make:)
