We checked out yesterday and were told to leave our keys in the room - DH still had one in his wallet though and tried to use it to enter the pool area so we could go to the bathroom before we hit the road, but the key did not work. Someone let him in though. I'm sure if you just asked them you could - I don't see why they would have a problem with it.
