Okay - I asked my Disneyland expert and he said they do refer to Disneyland as the Magic Kingdom.

Hmmm... interesting.

That is odd Amy! But, I really wouldn't hold my breath on the times. When I initially got the hours for our trip, they weren't going to be showing Spectro at all. Then whatever happened and it ended up being at both 8 AND 10!

I'm hoping this means it will be at 8 & 10. It's very strange...

When do you think park hours/entertainment schedules will be finalized for my week?

Who was it I was talking to about Steve Soars??? I can't remember who I say what to!

I printed out his schedule on Thursday before we left. His site said there would be a new schedule on Saturday, which means they don't put it up until right before that week starts. He also said hours of entertainment don't change much, but I did find many differences. Personally, I'd say go in with a tentative plan, but as soon as you get into the park - double check the times and make adjustments. We ended up missing Off Kilter.

The only other night Spectro is showing is Saturday, May 2nd at 9pm. We can plan to see it that night if we have to, but we had planned to spend the whole day at Epcot, plus we had hoped to see it at 8pm. This new plan will put us at MK three evenings in a row...

I'd skip Spectro on a Saturday night at 9pm.....the wait for the bus would probably be nasty.

Techinacally there is only one Magic Kingdom....in Orlando. All the other magic kingdom like parks around the world are called Disneyland CityName, except California which is just Disneyland.

The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse in MK has always been Swiss Family Robinson....never the Trazan theme....although there were rumors that it would be re-themed to Trazan after California had their's done.

The Monorail at Disneyland (california) is treated more like an attraction then a mode of transportation.....even thou you can get from the Disney hotels to the park that way.

I'm holding off with going back to California until DCA is finished it's upgrades....at least 2012.

Goodness...I missed like 2 pages of posts!! How did that happen...no email or anything.

I love the Disneyland game. It looks like a lot of fun. My kids love to play board games!

I haven't gone back and checked schedule times for our trip..sounds like I should!!

sorry the Spectro bubble looks to have busted for you....I guess have 2 plans of seeing it and whichever one works when you're there good....you know keeping in mind w/ your flexible OCD plan.....

I'd doubt it would only be at 10 anyways too. Look and see what you have planned for each of those 2 mornings on the next day...that may help.

We had only 2 late nights on our trip F! on Sunday and Spectro on Monday...which worked very well for the kids.

I agree 3 late nights may be tough. Unless w/ your hopper you have a really good break at CBR and just hop in for the nighttime activity.

Was that Monday, March 30th? Were you at the 8 or 10? We saw the 8, then Wishes, and then left. I know - I can wait until your TR for details, but hey - patience isn't a strong suit of mine.

According to the WDW website, on April 30th, park hours have been extended from 9 to 10pm. But... Spectromagic has been moved from 8 to 10! Wishes is still scheduled for 9pm.

Has anyone heard of the only Spectro of the night being AFTER Wishes??

Are you sure they didn't add a second Spectro... one at eight and the second at ten?? That happened to us when they extended hours at the last minute...

I'm sure you talked to me about it too... I plan to print off the entertainment schedule before we leave (which won't be for our week yet...) and then we'll check for updates when we are down there - DH is bringing his laptop.

Our original plan was for Spectro on Thursday (maybe Wishes), MK Friday afternoon/early evening (not a late night) and Epcot Saturday (no MK day) - so if we had to head back to MK on Saturday it would just be a lot of MK in a row - not three nights in a row though. Or we could just scrap MK on Thursday night and do something else? We'll see...

The WDW website still says 10pm for the only Spectro of the night on April 30th. Someone on TGM posted that they called and a CM told them 8:30. So I thought I'd call... The CM I spoke to said it is currently scheduled only at 10pm. He thought that was strange too. I asked him if he thought it would change and he said a firm "Yes". I'll keep checking back... we'll see.

Here's what I have been working on today...

I started with Zachary's because his require more pictures. I'll edit these a little to make some for Alex.

Here are pictures of each of the cards. For some reason I couldn't get good pictures of the text. The flash just washed everything out and without the flash they got blury...

If anyone is interested in the text, just PM me and I'll send you copies of what I wrote. I used Boardmaker software - software specifically made for children with communication disorders.

Thanks Carissa! I hope they help - I'm worried that the "Lost" card might cause more anxiety than it prevents with Zach... I showed him the cards today and he liked them all except that one.

Any changes to the schedule your week?

Park Hours have been extended for several of our days. AK on Monday (was 9-6, now 9-7), MK on Wednesday (was 9-9, now 9-10), DHS on Thursday(was 9-8:30, now 9-10). Thanks for the heads-up...I'm glad I checked!!

Wow! What great cards! Connor had apraxia when he was younger and had difficulty communicating because of speech problems -- those would have been invaluable!

Your cards are awesome! Billy's teachers helped me to make similar cards for him when he was little... they weren't as nice as yours, though!

Thankfully, he does not seem to need them as much now that he is older (eleven.) I'm sure that will be the same with Alex & Zachary.

One thing he does struggle with is the WH~ questions... Who, What, Where, etc. So we still use these prompts to help him verbalize his answers...

Its amazing how such a simple little thing can be such a big help!! I think I will borrow ideas from you and Julie, laminate these, and put them on a ring to take with us... thanks, and again, great job!!
