Can we share a photo pass?

My parents received a photo pass card while at disney the first part of Sept. and used it last the 16th of Sept. They have not done any with it yet such as signing on the photopass website etc.

I am going to disney on Oct. 19th and will be there until the 29th. Can we use the same photopass card that my parents received and then sign onto the website and share in the cost of everything: or is this too much time in between?

The only thing I can find on a time period is once you sign in you have 30 days to do something but how long do you have to sign in before your stuff is gone? As you can tell I am confused and neither of us have used the photopass system before.
